Mount Field National Park : Tall Trees Walk

One of the great short walks in Tasmania (only about 1km), the Tall Trees Walk is awe inspiring. Shadows cast from branches so high create pockets of dark and light. The sky seems ever so close with arms reaching out as if they have touched the edge of the stratosphere. The tallest tree standing is over 74 metres. The tallest known to have lived around 90. I feel so small but so close to an ancient life that has so many years ahead of stretching and grasping towards the heavens.
