Forty four point three kilometres winding over 3 days through the Blue Mountains. Start from Jenolan and head for Katoomba. The second day is a relentless downhill all day. It’s hard on the knees but to go the other way would be a lot tougher. There are lot’s of echidnas, wallabies and kangaroos. If you are lucky you may even come across a red bellied black snake.

It was rather a cold and overcast day venturing up to see if there were any orchids blooming on Tinpot and Ironpot Mountains in the Wild Dogs – part of the Blue Mountains National Park. We only found one and it was a little sad as it had likely bloomed weeks ago.
